President Alexis Claiborne

Alexis Claiborne has been a resident in Wrightwood off and on since 2001. She moved here full-time in 2019. Alexis enjoys spending time with her fur babies (dogs) and is an avid snowboarder.

Alexis received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from California State University, Northridge. She then went on to complete her M.S. in Family and Human Development from Arizona State University and it currently working on her PhD from the California Institute of Integral Studies. Since beginning her doctoral career, Alexis has become increasingly interested in policy.

Alexis is currently a health educator in San Bernardino and has spent her career serving the public through education and advocacy. She has spent her career working to make other communities better, safer places to live and is hoping to enhance the already incredible community of Wrightwood.
