Closure Updates
dangerous October 18, 2024 - December 31, 2025
The Angeles National Forest has issued an updated forest order for the Bridge Fire Area Closure from October 18, 2024 through December 31, 2025. These areas will be closed for public safety and to facilitate recovery of the natural resources and landscape affected by this wildfire. Closures will include some recreational sites in the Wrightwood areas of the forest.
For more information visit the Angeles National Forest Bridge Fire Area Closure website.
Do Not Park on the Highway
Each year, Wrightwood sees a surge of visitors eager to enjoy the snow. Hundreds of vehicles park illegally along Hwy 2, obstructing traffic in both directions. This creates a hazardous environment for everyone, especially during emergencies. Illegal parking delays emergency vehicle response time. Please do your part and adhere to all parking signs.
Leave No Trace
We are delighted to showcase the beauty that Wrightwood offers to its visitors. We hope you enjoy your time here, as the forest provides a wealth of wonderful recreational opportunities. However, we kindly ask that you leave no trace behind. Each year, we find thousands of pounds of litter left behind by snow enthusiasts, including broken sleds, diapers, plastic bottles, discarded chairs, BBQs, and more. Please be considerate, show kindness and respect for our beautiful town we call home.
