Kids Programs


Tiny Toes and Tap

A 6-week beginner-friendly dance series for kids to explore both ballet and tap! Classes alternate weekly between ballet and tap, giving dancers a chance to experience rhythm, movement, and grace. The session wraps up with a fun recital where our young stars shine on stage!


Wednesdays, 3:30–4:30 PM

Ages 3–5 (Mini Ballet/Tap)

Introduce your little one to the joy of dance! Our Mini Ballet/Tap class blends playful movement with foundational steps in both ballet and tap. Each week, dancers will twirl, jump, and tap their toes in a supportive, fun environment. Perfect for beginners!

Wednesdays, 5:00–6:00 PM

Ages 6–12

Designed for older beginners, our Ballet/Tap class gives kids the chance to learn two classic dance styles in one session! Dancers will alternate weekly between ballet and tap, building rhythm, coordination, and confidence. The session ends with a lively recital for family and friends!

Participant Requirements:

  • Ballet slippers and tap shoes

  • Comfortable dance attire (leotard/tights or leggings & fitted shirt)

  • Hair pulled back securely

  • Water bottle

We want every child to have the chance to dance!

Winter and Spring dates coming soon!

Kick up your heels and join us for a fun night of line dancing! Whether you’re a beginner or have danced before, our classes are a great way to enjoy music, movement, and community. No partner needed — just bring your boots (or comfy shoes) and a smile.

Line dancing is easy to learn and perfect for all ages and fitness levels. Each session features classic and modern dances that will keep you moving, laughing, and meeting new friends.

Adult Co-Ed Softball

Spring dates coming soon!

Games are played at the Wrightwood Elementary School lower baseball field on Sundays. Players must form their own teams. Teams must have a minimum of 5 female players and 5 male players. All teams must have no less than 12 players and a maximum of 17 players per team. Every player is responsible for reading the WCSD Softball Rules and Sportsmanship Code of Conduct.

Casual Profanity

Pertains to unsportsmanlike language usually uttered by a player out of frustration. This type of behavior, at the umpire’s discretion, may be penalized by issuing outs against the offending team at a minimum, repeat offenders will receive maximum penalties as laid out in the code of conduct.

  1. If the team is at bat and unsportsmanlike words are used, the next batter will be declared out.

  2. If the act is committed by a player remaining at bat, he/she will be called out.

  3. If the defensive team commits the act, the first person to bat in the next inning will be declared out.

  4. The outs will be treated as a delayed ball situation

  5. If the violation occurs in the bottom of the last inning where the fielding team might not bat again, player ejection may result.

  6. A game can be ended by a casual profanity out.

Registration fees are $30 per individual.

 

The WCSD has adopted a ZERO TOLERANCE policy regarding alcohol and/or marijuana consumption during any WCSD-organized softball game.

Games are held on elementary school property and the consumption of alcohol and/or marijuana on campus is prohibited.

Senior Movement and Dance Class

Looking for a fun and easy way to stay active? Join our Senior Movement & Dance Class — a low-impact, music-filled session designed for adults 60 and older. Whether you’re new to dance or just want to keep your body moving, this class is a joyful way to improve:

  • Balance & coordination

  • Flexibility & mobility

  • Mood & mental sharpness

  • Social connection


No dance experience is needed! Just wear comfortable clothes, bring water, and get ready to move to upbeat music in a warm, welcoming environment.

Senior Lunch

Our Senior Lunch is a monthly social event held on the second Wednesday of every month for Wrightwood seniors. Each lunch features a seasonal or holiday theme, often accompanied by live music from local musicians. The event is proudly served by students from Wrightwood Elementary School and includes raffle prizes, making it a fun and engaging community gathering. A suggested donation of $6 helps support the program

Senior Lunch and Learn

Our Senior Lunch & Learn Program offers Wrightwood seniors a welcoming opportunity to learn, socialize, and connect. Each session features a hands-on activity paired with a delicious lunch, creating an engaging and enjoyable experience. The Wrightwood Community Services District is proud to partner with the Wrightwood Arts Center to provide this program, which takes place on the fourth Wednesday of every month.
