Phelan Substation

The Phelan Substation has one sergeant, one detective, and ten deputies who are responsible for law enforcement services in Phelan, Pinon Hills, Wrightwood, West Cajon Valley, as well as portions of Oak Hills and El Mirage.The Phelan Substation’s Wrightwood Search and Rescue team is one of the County’s premier S&R teams. Members of this team are highly skilled at rescuing persons from treacherous mountain terrains and altitudes requiring the use of specialized mountain climbing skills and equipment that require the use of pitons, ropes, pulleys and airborne helicopter operations.

The San Bernardino County Fire Protection District is a community-based, all hazard emergency services provider dedicated to the protection of the diverse community they serve, organizational sustainability, performance excellence, and safety. The SBCFPD jurisdiction encompasses approximately 19,200 square miles of extremely diverse environments that stretch from the Los Angeles County line on the west, to the Colorado River on the east, to the Nevada State line and Kern and Inyo counties on the north. The SBCFPD provides services to more than 60 communities/cities and all unincorporated areas of San Bernardino County.
