General Manager Ramona Evey

In 2019, after earning her master’s degree, Ramona married Darryl Evey, CEO of the nonprofit Family Assistance Program. They live in Wrightwood, California, where Darryl has resided for more than 15 years. Together, they enjoy hiking with their dogs and relaxing on their deck—taking in the pine-scented air, watching wildlife, and sharing meals outdoors.

Born in Boston and raised in Newbury Park, California, Ramona earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and an MBA in Nonprofit Management from California Lutheran University. She is also a Certified Grant Writer. Before retiring in 2017, she spent two decades as a Program Manager at Amgen in Thousand Oaks, California.

A dedicated volunteer, Ramona has supported organizations such as the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the Marfan Foundation, the Family Assistance Program, the Michael P. Nosco Foundation, the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, and the American Diabetes Association. She is a Lifetime Member of the Girl Scouts of America, serves as Region Secretary for Soroptimist International of the Americas, and is Paymaster and Adjutant for Victor Valley Marine Corps League Detachment 1383.

She also volunteers with the Orenda Veterans Project, a nonprofit in Apple Valley that provides housing and support for unhoused veterans—work that reflects her commitment to community service and improving lives.

Outside of her volunteer efforts, Ramona enjoys football, photography, scrapbooking, cooking, writing, and reading. She is also passionate about fitness and the outdoors, often participating in 5Ks, half marathons, and triathlons, as well as hiking, traveling, and spending time with loved ones.
